Installing Aurora for RGH Consoles
Install Aurora on a standard RGH setup and configure a clean dashboard workflow.
This tutorial is for hard modded consoles like RGH, if you are using BadUpdate DO NOT use this tutorial
Downloading Required Apps
- Starting off download Aurora, Dashlaunch, and XeXmenu
- Extract the contents of the zip for auroa into a folder name Aurora, do the same for Dashlaunch
- Insert a flash drive into your xbox and go to settings
- Storage
- And format the flash drive
- Reinsert your flash drive into your computer and enable hidden folders if not enabled
do this by clicking View and the show and enable hidden items
- Drag the aurora folder and dashlaunch folder onto the root of your drive
- And drag the content folder from the XeXmenu download onto your flash drive
Opening XeXmenu
- Go to Xbox home
- Go to games and apps and open XeXmenu
- Press RB until you see the contents of your flash drive
if you don't see the flash drive files press X and select your flash drive
- Hover your Aurora folder and press Y and copy
- Go to your hard drive
- HDD1 and then press Y and press paste, do the same for Dashlaunch.
Opening Dashlaunch
- While in XeXmenu open the Dashlaunch folder and open default.xex
- BADUPDATE USERS DO NOT DO THIS IF YOURE FOLLOWING THIS TUTORIAL FOR SOME REASON, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR CONSOLE
- It will ask you to install to the nand press yes
- Once done, click paths
- Default
- And find the aurora.xex file in your aurora folder
- Press A on it
- It will take you back to the dashlaunch paths screen
- Press RB then press X on HDD
- It should say saved launch.ini to HDD
- Now when you reboot your console you will boot into Aurora automatically
